Sarah partnered with Ashley, a long-time friend, to bring to life the children’s book series, "The Adventures of Bay & Breezy." Ashley and Sarah initially crossed paths in the corporate world. The inaugural book in the series, "Bringing Breezy Home," hit online stores in December 2021, securing its place as a “Top Seller” in its debut week. Furthermore, it earned the distinction of being a Staff Favorite in the Spring 2022 issue of "Modern Dog Magazine." The second book of the series, "Lost in the Zoo," is now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Entirely crafted from Sarah’s original watercolor work and complemented by Ashley’s lively tales featuring her two real-life dogs, "The Adventures of Bay & Breezy" unfolds as a series of children’s books spotlighting two mischievous Dudley Labrador sisters. Through delightful stories, the series imparts valuable life lessons about family, the joy of exploration, and the importance of maintaining a curious spirit, appealing to both children and the young at heart.

In Bringing Breezy Home, a four-year-old Dudley Labrador named Bay embarks on an adventure of a lifetime-becoming a big sister. When Bay meets Breezy for the first time, she falls in love, but soon she learns just what it takes to be a big sister. Modeling patience and good behavior, Bay shows Breezy the ropes, and as their bond grows, the sisters become inseparable. Bay and Breezy come to life through artist Sarah Webster Smith's vivid illustrations, and Ashley Ronald Nelly's uplifting message highlights both the joy and changes that come when welcoming a new sibling. Children will delight in this relatable and heartwarming tale of canine siblings.
